Architecture Forum Members' Meeting

Objective of Meeting

The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the key topics relevant for the Architecture Forum and review the status of the different Work Group activities. During the meeting important decisions were defined in relation to the TOGAF® Standard and its evolution and new release structure, and also for the delivery of other Architecture-related products, specifically the TOGAF backlog and related activities.

Summary

The following topics were covered in the meeting:

  • Welcome and general introduction
  • General report of the current status of the evolution of the TOGAF Standard and forward planning for 2019/2020
  • General presentation of the TOGAF evolution status and plans towards a new release
  • General summary presentation on the Forum activities status and membership provided by the Forum Director
  • Important decisions for the structure of the new release of the standard and the process to enrich content with new material to address market needs
  • Business reports presented on Certification and Membership status
  • The TOGAF Certification Program Standing Committee report was presented
  • The leaders of the different working activities delivered their reports: progress, approach, deliverables, and matters of the Forum; decisions were defined in relation to the activities
  • Carry out forward planning for the San Antonio meeting in January 2020
  • Approval for the different working activities to continue
  • Open actions and consent items review and approval

Outputs

  • Detailed meeting minutes and list of consent items and open actions to support the current activities and key decisions related to the TOGAF Standard evolution and the delivery of other relevant Architecture products
  • High-level planning for the San Antonio event and members' meetings

Next Steps

  • Manage the Forum activities in accordance with the consent items and open actions
  • Support the key decisions taken in the session, especially the ones related to the evolution of the standard and the other related work products
  • Carry out proper planning for the San Antonio event
