Introduction

Objective of Meeting

The objective of this session was too introduce and provide some history around The Open Group Commercial Aviation Work Group.

Summary

The Forum Director, Martin Andrews facilitated the session, which started with a round table of introductions from the attendees.

Martin made a presentation introducing himself and the history of The Open Group Commercial Aviation Work Group.

Agile Practices as Part of Digital Transformation at China Eastern Airlines

Objective of Meeting

The objective of this session was topic and case study sharing, including Q&A.

Summary

The session was facilitated by the Forum Director, Martin Andrews and started with a round table of introductions from the attendees.

Zhang Xiyun, Enterprise Architect at China Eastern Airlines, presented on Agile Practices as Part of Digital Transformation in China Eastern Airlines. He answered a number of questions through his translator. The presentation was well received.

There were no outputs. The Work Group will look into this as a work stream.

The objective of this session was topic and case study sharing, including Q&A.

Summary

The session was facilitated by the Forum Director, Martin Andrews and started with a round table of introductions from the attendees.

Srinivas Rao Chinthapandu , Solution Architect at Aer Lingus, presented on Agile Payments Transformation at Aer Lingus. He answered many questions from the China Eastern Airlines participants. The presentation was well received.

There were no outputs. We will look into this as a work stream for the Work Group.

Commercial Aviation Q&A

Tuesday, November 5, 4:00 – 4:30 pm

Objective of Meeting

The objective of this session was to obtain from the Work Group members and non-members what their needs and interests are. Also to entice any non-members with links to Commercial Aviation to be members.

Summary

This was an opportunity for members and non-members to ask questions to The Open Group Commercial Aviation Work Group.

The panel consisted of the following experts:

  • Martin Andrews, Forum Director, The Open Group
  • Garikoitz Garcia, MRO Domain Architect (Work Group member)
  • Srinivas Rao Chinthapandu , Solution Architect (Work Group member)

Outputs

There were no outputs. The Work Group needs to continue to work on the “needs” of the existing members and the industry as a whole.
