How can I achieve certification?
After a period of study, attending a training course or by self-study, you can take the applicable examination.
What is the difference between accredited and non-accredited training?
Accredited training course providers are subject to an assessment both of the course and also their personnel and organization. In addition all accredited trainers include in their course fee the examination, either on site as part of the course or a voucher to attend a public test center. Some accredited training course providers also have permission to distribute official materials, such as the official pdf copy of the standard with their course materials.
What are the available certifications?
- IT4IT Foundation: provides validation that the Candidate has gained knowledge of the terminology, structure, and basic concepts of IT4IT and understanding of the core principles of the IT4IT Reference Architecture and the IT Value Chain.
How does the certification relate to the exam?
The exam is what you need to pass to reach a certification qualification.
What is the retake policy if i fail an Examination?
Candidates who fail an examination are not allowed to retake the examination again for a period of one (1) month. A result received before one month will be VOID.

There is a single examination as follows:

IT4IT Part 1 - Pass mark 65% (26 or more points out of a maximum of 40)
This exam comprises 40 questions in simple multiple choice format, covering the Level 1 learning outcomes (see the Conformance Requirements for detail). Each correct answer scores a single point.
What is the eligibility requirement for the Exam?
There are no prerequisites. Any and all candidates are thus eligible to take the IT4IT Part 1 examination.
If I fail can I retake an exam immediately?
No, the certification policy has a minimum period before you can retake an examination. This is currently one month. If you retake before that period your test result will be void.
How can I find a training course?
You can find an available accredited training course either by contacting a provider using the register link . Click on the course name entry and the detailed page should give you a web link to the company that offers the course. As part of the package of attending the qualifying course, the training organization may offer facilities to take the examination, or may supply vouchers for you to take the examination at an authorized examination center.

Certification is included in the exam fees. Certification exams are priced according to currency values in specific countries and regions (link to exam fees).
