SAN FRANCISCO, February 27, 2012 — The Open Group today announced that key members from its Open Group Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF), will participate in a panel discussion, “How to Attack the Supply Chain (The Securing Of),” at the 2012 RSA Conference on February 28 in San Francisco.
The RSA Conference gathers security practitioners from across the globe to share the latest knowledge and advancements in the area of information security. The “How to Attack the Supply Chain (The Securing Of)” session brings together an outstanding panel of leading COTS ICT providers and security industry thought leaders to discuss the rise in tainted and counterfeit technology and a variety of approaches intended to address supply chain challenges, including The Open Group’s organization-based approach for meeting the growing threat in supply chain security.
The panel will be moderated by Andras Szakal, vice president and chief technology officer at IBM U.S. Federal, responsible for IBM’s industry solution technology strategy in support of the U.S. Federal customer. Szakal is also chair of the OTTF and leads the development of the Open Trusted Technology Provider Standard, of which a Snapshot release will be coming soon.
Panelists include: Daniel Reddy, senior consultant product manager at EMC Corporation; Jon Boyens, senior advisor for Information Security at the National Institute of Standards and Technology; Hart Rossman, vice president & chief technology officer Cyber Security Services at SAIC; and Edna Conway, chief security strategist, Global Value Chain, Cisco and co-chair of the OTTF.
