All trainers used in the delivery of Accredited Training Courses must be certified and have completed a train the trainer program as follows:
- Includes a mechanism to ensure that the individual is capable of delivering a training course in a satisfactory manner
- Includes a validation that the individual’s topic knowledge is satisfactory to deliver the Accredited Training Course
- Includes provision for the individual to deliver at least two (2) training courses under the supervision of the Lead Trainer or alternatively, an experienced Accredited Training Course trainer
- Individual must receive a successful evaluation and recommendation as a trainer from the supervising trainer
Companies with a unique trainer must provide evidence of their skills to deliver a training course. Evidence can be learners’ reviews, customers’ reviews, employers’ reviews, and third party train the trainer program confirmation.

All trainers used in the delivery of Accredited Training Courses must have sufficient experience in and knowledge of the topic to be able to deliver the course in a clear and concise manner.
Trainers who are authorized to deliver all levels of ArchiMate 3 Accredited Training Courses:
- Are ArchiMate 3 Practitioner Certified
- Have successfully passed the ArchiMate Essentials 3.1 certification credential if the certification was earned prior to 2019
- Have successfully passed the ArchiMate Essentials 3.2 certification credential
- Hold the associated badges

- Are DPBoK Foundation Certified
- Hold the associated badge
Trainers who are authorized to deliver IT4IT™ 3 Foundation Accredited Training Courses:

- Hold all badges required
Trainers who are authorized to deliver all levels of TOGAF Business Architecture Accredited Training Courses:
- Are TOGAF Business Architecture Foundation Certified
- Hold the associated badges
Trainers who are authorized to deliver the TOGAF Certification Credentials Accredited Training Courses:
- Are TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner Certified or TOGAF 9 Certified
